06/20/17: We're Climbing

Today’s Workout:

  • Skill – Rope Climb – We’ll be instructing on both the J-Hook and Heel Hook (In this video Kim’s technique is russian wrap or the heel hook, and Adrian’s is more similar to the J-Hook)  We’ll spend about 15 minutes working on climbs / descents.  Even if you can climb the rope, think about where you can improve and ask questions to the coach.  If you plan to climb the rope, bring a leg sleeve.  If you don’t have one, at least wear long socks, and then go on Amazon and buy on of THESE.  For reference they run a size big in my opinion.  You would rather them be a bit tighter so they don’t slide as you climb.
  • Conditioning – 3 RFT – “Jiminy Cricket”
    • 800m Run (Sub 1K Row OR 1 Mile Bike)
    • 30 Box Jumps (Sx = 20″/18″ – Rx = 24″/20″)
    • 6 Rope Climbs (Sx = Modified OR some combo of full rope climbs and mod rope climbs)
  • Finisher – 400m Farmers Carry – Challenge Yourself
